1. These terms
These terms apply to every order placed with Super Container Hub LLC through supercontainerhub.com. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you agree to them. We may update them; the version in force is the one published when you place your order.
Much of what we sell goes to businesses. If you are buying in the course of a business, sections 9 and 10 apply differently and consumer protection law does not apply to your purchase. Contact us for trade and fleet terms.
2. How a contract is formed
Adding a unit to your order list and submitting it is a request, not a purchase, and nothing is charged on this website. We then confirm the specific unit held at the depot, quote the haulage to your site, and email you an invoice. A contract exists when you pay that invoice and we confirm the unit is allocated to you. If we cannot fulfil the request — the unit has been sold, it was priced incorrectly, or a truck cannot reach your site — we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
3. Pricing and errors
Prices are in US dollars and cover the unit only. Freight haulage is quoted separately for your address, as explained in our delivery and shipping policy, and appears as a separate line on your invoice. Sales tax, where applicable to your state and use, is added to the invoice. No price on this website includes delivery.
Stock sits at depots and moves, so a listing is an invitation to enquire rather than a guarantee that a particular unit is available on the day you look. We confirm availability in writing before invoicing.
We take care with pricing, but errors happen. Where the correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. Where a pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake, we are not obliged to supply at the wrong price.
4. Payment
We accept payment by ACH or wire transfer, or by card against a secure invoice link, selected when you submit your order. Both are manual: no payment is taken automatically, and no card or bank details are entered on this website. We email the details for your chosen method with your order reference, and the order is confirmed once payment clears. Title to the unit remains with us until it is paid for in full, even after delivery.
5. Product information
We describe units as accurately as we can, and the grade is the part of the description that matters: it sets what condition you should expect. Dimensions, tare weights, payloads and internal capacities are nominal industry figures and vary slightly between builders and build years.
Photographs of used and cargo-worthy stock are representative of the type and grade, not of the individual unit you will receive. Paint colour, shipping-line markings, the pattern of surface rust and the position of dents and patch repairs all differ unit to unit. If the exact appearance matters to your project, tell us and we will photograph the specific unit before it ships, or sell you a one-trip unit instead.
6. Delivery
Delivery costs, timescales and the site access the truck requires are set out in our delivery and shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the unit passes to you on delivery.
Making the site reachable and ready is your responsibility: a clear straight run of roughly twice the container length, adequate width and overhead clearance, firm ground, and a level base in position. If the delivery fails because the site is not ready or cannot be reached, the wasted haulage is chargeable at cost.
7. Cancellation and returns
You have 7 days from delivery to report a unit that does not match the grade it was sold at, and we accept change-of-mind returns for up to 30 days subject to return haulage and a 25% restocking fee. Modified, altered or installed units cannot be returned. Full details are in our returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Permits, zoning and siting
Placing a container on land is regulated in most of the country, and the rules are local. Before you order it isyour responsibility to establish what applies at your address. Commonly:
- many jurisdictions treat a container as a structure, requiring a building or placement permit before it can stand on the site;
- zoning rules may set a minimum setback from boundaries and roads, cap the number of units, or prohibit containers in residential zones altogether;
- a specific foundation may be required, and converting a container for occupancy, as an office, dwelling or workspace, almost always triggers a full permit and inspection;
- HOA and deed restrictions frequently prohibit containers even where the municipality allows them.
We sell the unit; we do not apply for permits on your behalf and we give no assurance that a container may lawfully be sited at your address. A permit refused or revoked after delivery is not grounds for a return, and collecting the unit in that situation is chargeable as a change-of-mind return.
Containers are supplied for lawful use only. We accept no liability arising from use that breaks the law, or from loading a unit beyond its stated payload.
9. Our liability to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.
We are not liable for business losses. If you use a unit for any commercial or resale purpose, we have no liability for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of stored goods, or loss of business opportunity. Insuring the unit and its contents once delivered is your responsibility.
10. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier and haulier failures, port and depot congestion, extreme weather, industrial action, or supply chain disruption. We will contact you as soon as possible and you may cancel affected orders for a full refund.
11. Website use and intellectual property
The content of this site (text, layout, graphics and code) belongs to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use, but not reproduce them commercially without permission. Manufacturer, shipping line and component brand names and logos are the property of their respective owners and appear for identification only; their presence on a unit does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.
You may not misuse this site by knowingly introducing malicious code, attempting unauthorised access, or placing fraudulent orders.
12. Complaints
Email [email protected] or call +1 (555) 014-2667. We acknowledge complaints within 3 business days and aim to resolve them within 14.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of OR, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts serving Portland, OR have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the state in which you live.
Note for the site owner. These terms are a working draft written to match how this store actually operates — quoted freight, invoice payment, grade-based descriptions, buyer-side permits. They are not legal advice. Have an attorney licensed in your state review them, and confirm the governing-law and sales-tax positions, before you take real orders.
