4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and never sell your personal data. Recipients fall into these groups:
- Payment providers: to take and secure payment;
- Hauliers and depots: your name, site address, phone number and any access notes you give us, so the driver can reach you and agree a delivery window;
- Modification workshops and service agents: where your order or a warranty claim requires it;
- IT and hosting providers: who host this site and our email;
- Analytics and advertising providers: only where you have consented to those cookies;
- Professional advisers and authorities: accountants, insurers, or where the law requires disclosure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Some providers process data outside the United States; where they do, we put contractual safeguards in place to keep it protected to the standard described here.
5. How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: 7 years, to meet IRS and state tax recordkeeping rules;
- Warranty and grade records: for the life of the warranty plus 12 months;
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not email you again;
- Customer service correspondence: 24 months;
- Analytics data: up to 26 months.
6. Your privacy rights
Several states — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others — give residents specific privacy rights, and the details differ by state. Rather than offer these only where the law compels us, we extend the following to every customer, wherever you live:
- to know what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- to have inaccurate information corrected;
- to have information deleted where we no longer need it for a legal or contractual reason;
- to receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format;
- to opt out of marketing at any time — every email carries a working unsubscribe link;
- to withdraw cookie consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- not to be discriminated against, in price or service, for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising across other companies' sites, so there is nothing for you to opt out of there.
Email [email protected] to exercise any of these. We respond within 45 days and will not charge you. We may ask you to verify your identity first, and an authorised agent may act for you with written permission.
7. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to order and customer data is restricted to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts and multi-factor authentication. Card and bank details never touch our servers — payment happens on an invoice outside this website. No system is perfectly secure, but where a breach is likely to put you at risk we will notify you, and the relevant state authorities, as the law requires.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent. See our cookie policy for the full list and how to change your choices.
9. Complaints
Please come to us first at [email protected] — we would rather fix it. If we cannot resolve it, you may complain to your state Attorney General's office, and California residents may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects you, tell you by email.
Super Container Hub LLC, 1 Depot Way, Portland, OR, 97203, United States. Contact [email protected] or +1 (555) 014-2667.
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable federal or state consumer protection law, including any implied warranty that your state does not permit us to disclaim.
Siting a container is the buyer's responsibility. Check local zoning, permit, setback and foundation requirements, and any HOA restrictions, before you order.
